Geetanjali Is Back is a horror comedy film featuring Anjali as the lead actor. It is a sequel to Geetanjali, which was released in theatres last month. Recently, the OTT release date for the movie was announced. Geetanjali Phiryir Aya is Anjali’s 50th film. It was released in theatres on April 11 as a horror comedy and is now ready for an OTT release. The film will premiere on Aaha, a digital streaming platform, on May 8.
The movie features Srinivas Reddy, Satyam Rajesh, Satya, Shakalaka Shankar, Sunil, Ali, Ravi Shankar, Rahul Madhav and others in key roles. Kona Venkat and MVV Satyanarayana produced the film while Praveen Lakkaraju composed the music for it. Shiva Toorlapati directed the film. It remains to be seen whether the movie, which didn’t impress in theatres, will be well-received by the OTT audience.
The sequel was made almost 10 years after the 2014 hit film Geetanjali. It is noteworthy that Anjali is playing the lead role in Geetanjali Phirtala. The film was initially scheduled for release on March 22 but was postponed due to the release of Sri Vishnu Om Bheem Bush on the same date. Anjali has acted in about 50 films since she entered the industry in 2006. Her career took off with Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu, where she played an innocent role.
She went on to act in a series of movies alongside star heroes such as Balupu and Masala. In 2021, she scored a hit with the movie Vakeel Saab. Currently, Anjali is busy as a character artist in star hero movies and special songs. She has two big projects in her hands, including Game Changer starring Mega Power Star Ram Charan, where she plays a pivotal role. She also played a good role in the movie Gangs of Godavari, starring young hero Vishwak Sen, which is set for release on May 17.
