Premalu, a Malayalam blockbuster film, has also succeeded in Telugu. Many people are eagerly waiting for its release on an OTT platform. The news is that Aha Video has acquired the Telugu version’s digital streaming rights, and the release is expected in the second week of April, possibly on April 12th. The Tamil rights, including the Malayalam version, are owned by Disney plus the Hotstar OTT platform.
Premalu was released in Malayalam on February 9th and in Telugu on March 8th, which grossed over 15 crores, creating a new record for a Malayalam dubbing movie with the highest collections in Telugu. The film stars Nasleen K Ghafoor and Mamita Baiju, directed by Girish AD, and produced by Bhavana Studios. Fahad Fazil, Dileesh Potathan and Shyam Pushkaran were also part of the production in Malayalam. The film was also released in Tamil Nadu on March 15th, receiving good success.
The screenplay was written by Girish AD and Kiran Jose, with Vishnu Vijay composing the music. Ajmal Sabu was the cinematographer, and Akash Joseph Varghese edited the film. The dialogues in Telugu were written by Aditya Haasan, known for his work in the ’90s, and other actors like Altaf Salim, Shyam Mohan .M, Akhila Bhargavan, Meenakshi Ravindran, Sangeet Pratap, Shameer Khan, and more played different roles.
